Nourishing Homemade Skin Salve
Nourishing Homemade Skin Salve (For Sensitive Skin + Tender Hearts)
Bestie, you know how every season has its medicine? 🌿 For me, spring and summer are all about wild blooms — Calendula, Plantain, Chamomile, Lavender — each one whispering healing blessings for the skin.
My daughter has extremely sensitive skin, and while these seasons are kind to her in many ways, they’re also the perfect time for me to gather + craft. I make this skin salve for her with these herbs, but here’s the truth: while her skin responds beautifully to the ingredients, I can’t help but believe she’s really responding to the self-love she’s rubbing in with every application.
Because medicine isn’t just what’s in the jar — it’s the intention in our hands. ✨
Benefits of the Ingredients
Calendula: Protects skin against free radicals, soothes redness + irritation, and boosts collagen for new cell growth.
Plantain: Anti-inflammatory + astringent; wonderful for sunburns, stings, rashes, blisters, and minor cuts.
Lavender: Calms + speeds healing of burns, bites, rashes, and small cuts.
German Chamomile: Beloved for its deeply soothing, anti-inflammatory magic that eases all kinds of skin irritations.

6 drops Lavender essential oil
6 drops German (Blue) Chamomile essential oil

Once cooled, seal tightly + label with name + date.

Always use a spatula or clean hands to avoid contamination.
Closing Note
Bestie, when you dip your fingers into this salve, let it be more than skin care. Let it be ritual. Whisper kindness into your skin, thank the plants for their medicine, and remember: healing is both what you apply and how you love yourself through it. 🌼💛
